This month, Patricia discusses her favorite Christmas movies and specials. The first one she covers is the 1987 animated special A Garfield Christmas Special based on the comic strips by Jim Davis. Jon takes Garfield and Odie to his family’s farm where he, his mom, dad, brother Doc Boy, and grandmother enjoy their Christmas celebration. Garfield starts warming up to Christmas at the farm and Odie is acting suspicious collecting items and taking them to the barn.

This will always be a holiday classic. It brings the snark and wit you expect from old school Garfield and has plenty of heart to get you into the Christmas spirit. Never knew it was based on Jim Davis’ actual childhood; I think that helps add to the charm.
