Dear Manic Expressions Viewers,

I, Yarnel Moïs, the CEO and Creative Director of Yard Lion Studios, as well as the Executive Producer of TellyMimes, am writing this letter to express my sincere apologies for the creative failure and subsequent disappointment caused by the production of TellyMime, which aired on Manic Expressions.

First and foremost, I would like to address the fact that the TellyMime videos have been set to private. This decision was made in recognition of the show’s shortcomings and our desire to avoid further dissemination of a product that did not meet our intended creative vision. We acknowledge that the series did not live up to the standards we had set and failed to deliver the experience we had envisioned.

TellyMime was conceived as a series that aimed to examine media through the unique perspective of a mime, drawing inspiration from the approach seen in Charlie Brooker’s Screenwipe. Our goal was to provide insightful and thought-provoking commentary while incorporating the physicality and expressiveness of the mime art form. Unfortunately, we fell short of translating this concept into successful creative execution.

We deeply regret that TellyMime did not live up to your expectations and failed to deliver the engaging and captivating content we had intended. The lack of creativity and the inability to effectively convey the intended message is entirely our responsibility. We understand that this may have left you feeling unsatisfied and let down, and for that, we offer our sincerest apologies.

As the CEO and Creative Director of Yard Lion Studios, I take full accountability for this creative failure. It is a learning experience for us, and we are committed to reflecting on our missteps, reevaluating our processes, and striving for improvement in future endeavors. We value your feedback and appreciate your support, even in the face of this disappointment.

Moving forward, we will be working diligently to ensure that our future productions reflect the level of quality and creativity that our viewers deserve. We are dedicated to cultivating content that engages, enlightens, and resonates with you on a deeper level. Your viewership and trust mean a great deal to us, and we are determined to regain your confidence through our future endeavors.

Once again, please accept our sincere apologies for the creative shortcomings of TellyMime. We have taken the necessary steps to address the situation, and we are committed to delivering content that meets and exceeds your expectations. Thank you for your understanding and continued support.

Yours sincerely,

Yarnel Moïs
CEO and Creative Director

  1. Yarnel, you have nothing to apologize for. While I will admit that the content you covered didn’t exactly appeal to my interests, I felt that you put a great deal of effort into providing quality productions in your writing and presentation. But I understand where you are coming from. I have a perfectionist streak myself and don’t feel comfortable sharing videos or writing unless I’m sure it’s as good as it can be, and even then after putting it out I’ll find flaws I wish I could have corrected. I know you care deeply about what you make, and I know that this passion will help guide you well in your future productions.
