Ah, the Zombie. Pretty much as close as wrestling gets to a Big Lipped Alligator Moment. It was out of nowhere, had little or no bearing on anything else in the show, was certainly bizarre even in context, and afterward wasn’t spoken of again.
WWE on the Sci-Fi Channel/SyFy was a pretty terrible idea to start with, and putting the more slightly ‘grounded’ ECW on as their show made even less sense. As for Kevin Thorn and Ariel, it seemed to be a different variation on the gimmick of Gangrel and the Brood to me.
Personally, I think they should have given Tim Arsen another chance with a different gimmick. After all, other people went through several different gimmicks and personas before they found one that worked.
