It’s the beginning of Juha Month where we take a look at the three Finnish adaptations from a Finnish literature classic. The titular man from the end of the 18th century is having inner conflicts with his considerably younger wife and added to that a handsome stranger from the east has arrived to make things more complicated.

BigBlackHatMan: Films from 1937 are so different from modern works that an audience has to adapt a little. I do like the mother-in-law music. It works for her and supervillains. Good work
