I already commented on this one when it was first released. But yes, this is a weird fic. And one of the weirdest parts of it is that the prize for winning the contest is such a laughably small amount of money. It makes one wonder why one would travel a far distance to participate in that contest when likely they wouldn’t end up with much more money than they started with.

This is a fic that makes no sense. But I think the author probably knows it doesn’t make any sense, and just wanted to write something deliberately ridiculous and nonsensical.
