Obviously, as you mentioned, ‘Great Pumpkin’ is a staple for me at Halloween every year. Always has been since I was a kid. Some of my others include watching the original Halloween, Trick ‘r Treat, some of the Universal Monster movies and ending it with Rocky Horror at Midnight on Halloween Night.
For me the original Halloween, Trick ‘r Treat, and some Universal movies find their way into viewing in October. This year there have been a lot of slasher movies. My girlfriend only recently discovered Friday the 13th, so we’ve watched a lot of those. I love the A24 horror movies too like Hereditary, The Witch, and Blackcoat’s Daughter.
A great classic.
One of the best animated anything in my opinion.
Still an absolute classic of a holiday movie.
Don’t know if you ever saw the RiffTrax promo done a few years back, but it’s quite amusing, and makes me wish they’d been able to riff the whole movie. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XFA1sUuSDrA)
I’ll have to check that out. Thanks for the link.
