This movie is definitely something that’s a major letdown for people who were really looking forward to this crossover. I heard the reason that Ronnie Yu didn’t pick Kane Hodder is because he liked the actor they chose more than Kane (which is honestly a pretty stupid choice).
I feel like Kane Hodder should have been part of the package. If Ronny Yu said, “I don’t want Kane Hodder” than the studio should have said, “Then we don’t want you.” Bride of Chucky is one of the weakest Chucky movies and the tone of that was totally wrong for Freddy vs. Jason, so why they thought he was a good choice I don’t know.
