Time always changes everything, it always moves making people and places change, as well as deciding whether the couch looks good next to the window or in the centre of the room. This too is the same in Discworld! However change happens more drastically faster then the usual change.
Also I think it needs to be said that the creator of the series Terry Pratchett has recently passed away, his world and all the joy he brought shall remain and will always be remembered. May your soul find rest sir Pratchett, you will be sorely missed.
