You know I’m not one who watches much of, if any, of the current crop of shows right now, mostly because I’m lazy and can’t be bothered to keep up with a TV schedule, but as of late I’ve actually been keeping track of FX’s newest show “The Strain” which is based off the first book in a trilogy of novels by Guillermo del Toro and Chuck hogan and is being produced by del Toro. Though there’s only been a few episodes so far, I can safely say that it’s pretty damn good and so far with each episode it’s only gotten better. The plot of the show is a lot like Dracula, if Dracula took place in modern New York with heavy helpings of the zombie apocalypse, except in this case it’s a vampire apocalypse. There’s also something of a science behind the vampire virus in which the show goes out of its way to explain in great detail. There’s body horror a plenty. is It’s just all very fascinating.

So as this is the first new show I’ve actually started becoming interested in and the fact that tonight a new episode premiered, I feel the need to connect with any fellow viewers, hence why I’ve started this thread. So, who’s been watching, what’s your impression of the show so far, and where do you think things are likely heading with the events of recent episodes?
