The best film of 1949 tells about Willie Stark, an uprising political star who manages to get people’s support. Through the eyes of reporter Jack Burden we follow Stark’s rise to power and his descent to darkness.

BigBlackHatMan: He can say it isn’t Huey Long all he wants, but it is clearly based on the Louisiana politician. I like this movie and see its flaws. It is a solid allegory on the corruption of power though. I like this video series and look forward to seeing more. Good work.
