It was a fairly good series moment of the franchise and was great on standing out on certain episodes. This was a great insight look of the show. I would say more, but Jim seemed to cover a good sum of it and you pointed out what work didn’t end well. Bravo work overall.

I’ve been looking forward to this ever since you announced it. Zeo’s one of my favorite of the Saban-era series, along with Time Force and In Space. Yeah, it wasn’t perfect. It had a few dumb episodes, but after seeing just how bad things got with Ohranger, they avoided a lot of the more horrendous pitfalls that series fell into. And yes, it is shameful how David Yost was treated so badly behind the scenes. A pity that none of the producers ever apologized for what he did.

But in spite of all the stumbling blocks (the TomKat shipping, Bulk and Skull being dicks to Goldar and Rito, dropping the ball on Native American culture, and all that) this season did feel overall like the team was growing into a stronger team. Characters other than Tommy were getting more time in the spotlight, there villains felt more intimidating and the conflicts between different enemy factions hinted at greater threats behind the scenes, and things just felt, for lack of a better word, more epic. And I like how it tried more experimental premises like “It Came From Angel Grove High”

Also, am I the only one who thinks it would’ve been hilarious if Robocupid had made either herself or one of the female Rangers become infatuated with Alpha?

Yeah, that would’ve been funny. And given alpha something to do since most of what he actually had as his job was usurped by Billy.
I mean, it was good that his job was usurped by billy as Alpha was annoying even after they toned him down, but still kind of a waste that he rarely did anything…well, good. Unlike Alpha 6 in In Space or even Circuit.
