“Armikrog.” PS4 Gameplay Sample (No Commentary)

“Armikrog.” is a point-and-click adventure game developed by Doug TenNapel in partnership with Pencil Test Studios and Versus Evil. It’s considered a spiritual successor to “The Neverhood” as many of the game’s team worked on it. Much like “The Neverhood”, the most interesting aspect about “Armikrog.” lies in its stylistic choices and aesthetic presentation: it’s a stop-motion animated videogame whereas all characters and levels are made entirely with clay. This short sample of the gameplay illustrates said aesthetic as well as the puzzles to be found in this Aardman-inspired space trip. Enjoy.

On an additional note: the protagonists, Tommynaut and Beak-Beak, are voiced by Michael J. Nelson and Rob Paulsen. It’s not an exaggeration to say it sounds like they recorded their lines in a bathroom…
